CrunchyLens — Privacy Policy

CrunchyLens is a Chrome extension that adds filtering controls to the Crunchyroll watchlist page. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data we collect

None. CrunchyLens does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

How the extension works

• It reads your Crunchyroll watchlist data directly from your browser — the same data Crunchyroll's own page already loads. Nothing is sent anywhere.
• Filter preferences are saved locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local and never leave your device.
• If you enable the optional AniList Ratings feature, a request is made to the public AniList GraphQL API to fetch community scores by anime title. No identifying information is included in that request.

Third-party services

The only external service this extension may contact is the AniList public API (graphql.anilist.co), and only when you explicitly enable AniList Ratings. This feature is off by default.

Permissions

The extension requests the storage permission solely to persist your filter preferences across sessions. No browsing history, cookies, or account data are accessed.
